The Trager International practitioner certification program consists of a combination of hands-on training, fieldwork, and supervised tutorials. This combination allows the time required for the development of the skills and experience of the individual required for certification.
The training program is taught throughout the world in many different languages. The trainings and fieldwork account for a minimum of 409 hours, of which a minimum of 226 hours are supervised.

Trager International Practitioner Certification Curriculum
Level I Training LEVEL 1 TRAINING
The Level I Training is 6 full days, or 48 hours.
In the Level I training, a student is shown how to do a full tablework session protocol of Trager movement education, as well as learn a variety of self-care Mentastics movements that they can use and share with others. Discussion of ethics and other issues pertinent to this level are included. The format of the training is by demonstration and supervised practice with other students.
Post Level I Training Fieldwork
NOTE: One (1) Review Tutorial can be replaced with attending a Supervised Practice Day.
Level II Training
The Level II Training is 6 full days, or 48 hours.
In the Level II training, the Level l protocol is reviewed and refined. The student is shown a broader application of Trager Movement Education and Mentastics Movements, and learns more about sharing Mentastics Movements with others. Discussion of ethics and other issues pertinent to this level are included. The format of the training is by demonstration and supervised practice with other students.
Post Level II Training Fieldwork
NOTE: One Review Tutorial can be replaced with attending a Supervised Practice Day.
Level III Training
The Level III Training is 5 full days, or 40 hours.
In the Level III training, the Level l and Level II protocols are reviewed and refined, and additional, broader application of Trager Movement Education and Mentastics Movement is added. In addition, other subjects are discussed, including professional ethics, private practice issues, and practice promotion - in preparation to be professional practitioner. The format of the training is by demonstration and supervised practice with other students.
Post Level III Training Fieldwork
Core Mentastics Classes
To be taken after Level 1 and before certification.
A minimum of 24 hours of additional core curriculum Mentastics classes are required. These required hours can be met with either one 3-day Menastics Class, or a series of Mentastics Classes from a recognized Mentastics Teacher or Instructor that total 24 hours.
Anatomy Requirement
After Level I and before Practitioner Certification, the student must complete 6 days (48 hours) of Trager Anatomy. This requirement may be waived if (a) a paramedical license is held, such as a Nurse, Physical Therapist, Chiropractor, MD. etc. or (b) the student has graduated from an approved 500-hour massage program.
Training Program Completion
The above trainings and fieldwork account for a minimum of 409 hours, of which a minimum of 226 hours are supervised.
PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATION
After satisfactory completion of all the above requirements, and being a member in good standing of Trager Canada, the student, upon payment of practitioner administrative fees, will be issued a certificate as a Practitioner of The Trager Approach.
